McDonald’s is set to transform some of its restaurants into a virtual reality arena where gamers will play against Ronald McDonald and the Hamburglar in a set of scenarios. The activation which mixes reality and virtual reality is to support the launch of the fast-food giant’s new Loose Change Menu.
Players will have the chance to win prizes including four cash rewards in the competition where they will be play against 3D representations of McDonald’s favourite characters.
McDonald’s is delighted to be the first to use this kind of technology in the context of a competition; it’s playful, exciting and something very different. The idea for these activations came from seeking an engaging, really different way to connect with the public through a competition that is involving and entertaining, to support the new Loose Change Menu.
